Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-004 Red to the front and back of the plate. Allow to dry.
- When the plate is dry, using a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern.
- Using a CB-408 #8 Pointed Round, load the brush with SC-26 Green Thumb and side load with SC- 10 Teal Next Time and SC-77 Glo-Worm. Starting at the bottom of the tray, pull upward to make the tall grass letting the brush roll from side to side.
- Using a CB-408 #8 Pointed Round, load the brush with SC-26 Green Thumb and side load with SC- 77 Glo-Worm.
- Using a CB-408 #8 Pointed Round, place puddles of the following colors on the wing with some of the colors on top of one another: SC-6 Sunkissed, SC-71 Purple-licious, SC-75 Orange-A-Peel, and SC-77 Glo-Worm. A hair dryer can be used to force dry the colors and develop cracks. This will allow the red glaze to show through.
- Using a CB-408 #8 Pointed Round, apply SC-31 The Blues or color of your choice to the dragonfly body.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, outline the dragonfly and paint the eyes with SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SG-201 Black Cobblestone to the border of the plate. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
