Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-90 Elephant Ears to the top of the lid and 3 coats of FN-029 Rich Chocolate to the bottom of the lid.
  3. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, thin SC-15 Tuxedo and apply a light coat to the eyes, nose, and mouth to show dimension and texture.
  4. Condition a CB-106 #6 Script Liner by: dampen the brush in water and squeeze out any excess water. Load the brush with AC-525 Brush Cleaner then squeeze between a paper towel.
  5. Apply AC-302 Wax Resist on the eyes, nose, and mouth to protect from the Cobblestone glaze. Allow to dry.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SG-202 White Cobblestone to the face of the box. Be sure to spread out and pooling that happens around the wax resisted areas and make your coats as even as possible.
  7. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-014 Antique White around the outside of the bottom of the box. While the third coat is still damp, apply the lace to the sides. Just tap it down with your finger or a sponge.
  8. Once the lace is applied, use a sponge to apply 2 coats of FN-029 Rich Chocolate on top of the lace.  Remove the lace before the glaze dries.
  9. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-029 Rich Chocolate to the bottom and inside of the box.  Allow to dry.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
