Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, transfer the images of the letters onto each canvas. The sample uses 5 - 3” canvas ornaments to spell out E-L-I-S-E.
- Once the designs have been transferred, you may begin filling in the animals. Elephant - Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-60 Silver Lining for the body; using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner to apply 2 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail for the white of the eye, and 1 coat SC-30 Blue Dawn for the iris. It is then outlined with SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
- Lobster – Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-73 Candy Apple Red on the entire thing, and is then outlined with SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
- Iguana – Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-27 Sour Apple to the body. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-73 Candy Apple Red to the tongue; add SC-16 Cotton Tail and SC-26 Green Thumb to the eye. Outline everything with SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
- Squirrel – Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-41 Brown Cow to the Tail and SC-14 Java Bean to the body. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the eye. Outline with SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
- Eel – Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-39 Army Surplus to the body. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-42 Grape Jelly to add spots. Outline with SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
- Once the designs have dried completely, they will need to be covered with a Foundations Sheer and the boarder is painted with a corresponding Stroke & Coat.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan apply 2 coats of the following glazes to the canvas of you choosing: FN-206 Lemon Ice for the top and SC-6 Sunkissed for the edges, FN-208 Crystal Coral for the top and SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral for the edges, FN-211 Sheer Blue and SC-76 Cara-Bein Blue, FN-226 Squash Blossom and SC-50 Orange Ya Happy, and SC-227 Celery and SC-26 Green Thumb.
- Let dry completely.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
