- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply a heavy coat of SC-15 Tuxedo around all the detail of the tree and the giraffe, almost a puddle coat.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo into the larger spaces.
- Fill AC-223 Large Writer Tip bottle with EL-128 Wheat, then fill in the open spaces in the tree and down into the sky with a puddle coat.
- Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the middle sky area with 2 coats EL-133 Autumn, over lap some onto the upper sky. Be careful of the direction of the brush strokes as they will show.
- The foreground is EL-132 Rust Red, use the AC-223 Large Writer Tip for around the legs of the giraffe. Apply 2 coats with a brush to the remainder, over lap onto the middle sky.
- Using a RB-144 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the back of the plate. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
