1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Cut a rectangle out of paper to block out the center of the plate after base coating.
3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the top side of the plate.
4. Apply 1 more coat and while it is still shiny and wet, lay the paper rectangle onto the center of the plate; be sure to rub out any air bubbles and seal the edges. Then lay the lace down carefully. You can tap any parts with your finger or brush if they aren’t secure.
5. Apply 1 coat of SC-16 Cotton Tail around the edge of the plate over the lace.
6. Once that is mostly dry, apply 1 coat of SC-13 Grapel, SC-27 Sour Apple, and SC-50 Orange Ya Happy randomly around the boarder.
7. Be careful to not let the glaze dry too much or they lace design will chip off when you remove the lace. When the shine is gone remove the lace as well as the paper from the plate. Allow to dry.
8. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon paper, transfer the pattern to the center of the plate.
9. Outline the image with SA-003 White Accents.
10. Once the SA-003 White Accents is dry, fill in the colors of the image with a combination of using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner and a CB 202 #2 Detail Liner. Apply 2 coats of SC-50 Orange Ya Happy on the dress; SC-27 Sour Apple alternating stripes on the tights; SC-13 Grapel on the shoes; SC-5 Tiger Tail for the buckles of the shoes as well as the broom; and SC-14 Java Bean for the handle of the broom.
11. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-71 Purple-licious on top of the SA-003 White Accents lines.
12. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the back of the plate. Allow to dry.
13. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
