Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

  2. Slightly thin S-2101 Crystal Clear with water (3:1). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the MB-1422 House Vase Medium and roll around to completely coat the interior. Drain out the excess glaze and keep the vase inverted until the glaze has lost its shine.

  3. With a damp BT-910 Synthetic Sponge, wipe off any glaze from the exterior. Allow to dry.

  4. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan apply 3 coats of UG-213 Cinnamon to the roof and sides of the MB-1422 House Vase Medium allowing the color to dry between coats. Let dry.

  5. Using BT-910 Synthetic Sponge, clean off the windows. Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, apply UG-1 Kings Blue to the detail lines of the windows.

  6. Using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper and a pencil, transfer the pattern to the MB-1422 House Vase Medium. Use the MM-002 ½” Low Tack Masking Tape to fix the pattern on the bisque while transferring the pattern.

  7. Using SG-402 White, draw the transferred image. If desired, use CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner to add detail with 1 coat of SG-402 White.

  8. Using CB-404 #4 Pointed Round and CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, apply 1 coat of UG-76 Ivory to the large flower scallops, two bands in flower centers and the smaller pointed scalloped areas of the main flower. Also apply 1 coat to the centers of the flower buds.

  9. Load a CB-106 #6 Script Liner fully with UG-67 Ivory paint in the “pressure point” strokes in the leaves. These strokes should be completed in one stroke with the color.

  10. Using CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear in puddle strokes and fill in some of the designs, as shown. Allow glaze to lose its shine between coats.

  11. Using SG-402 White, add dots around the design, and atop of some of the S-2101 Crystal Clear painted areas. Allow to dry.

  12. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear to the windows, door and chimney. Allow to dry.

  13. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 04.
