Instructions

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

2. Use the Soft Fan to apply one coat of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the tile.

3. Cut out the pattern of the cows. Brush a coat of water over the glaze and place the paper pattern on the damp surface approx 1 1/2" from the bottom of the tile. This allows room for the sunflowers. Gently press the pattern with a paper towel to remove excess water and to ensure the edges are sealed.

4. Wet the blue shop towel, squeeze out excess water, open flat.  Squirt SC-16 Cotton Tail in a cloud pattern, fill in area with by squirting in SC-30 Blue Dawn. Fold the towel in half, open it, then fold in half again.  The towel should be covered with glaze; if not, squirt on more color.

5. Place the towel over the cows. It should cover 3/4 of the tile. Roll athe foam roller over the back of the paper towel to transfer the color. Remove the paper towel, roll the dry foam roller over the glaze to remove excess and to reveal the sky. Remove the paper.

6. Thicken SC-15 Tuxedo with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium using a palette knife to the consistency of peanut butter. With the shiny side down, in the same space as the outlined cow area, rub the thickened Tuxedo over the cow screen from DSS-0128 The Farm. Remove the screen and gently wash.

7. Sketch or trace the sunflowers (using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper) onto the tile. Use the Script Liner to apply two coats of SC-24 Dandelion  and SC-96 Cant-elope to the petals. Apply one coat of SC-14 Java Bean to the centers. Use the Liner to add dots of SC-96 Cant-elope and SC-15 Tuxedo in the center of each flower.

9. Use the Script Liner or Liner to fill in areas around the sunflowers with one coat of SC-26 Green Thumb.

10. Use the Liner to outline the flowers with SC-15 Tuxedo.

11. Use the Script Liner to fill in the solid black areas of the cowls with two coats of SC-15 Tuxedo. Use the Liner and SC-15 Tuxedo to add lines and shading to the cows.

12.  Fire to cone 05/06.
