Instructions


  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 Bisque. Moisten a clean Sponge and wipe Bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 Coats of FN-008 Brown to the center of the plate, omitting the border, and three Coats of Brown to the back of the plate.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 Coats of EL-111 Ruby Creek to the rim of the plate.
  4. Pencil in the center square of the plate. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 Coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to this area. Allow to dry.
  5. Trace on the Zebra pattern, using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper and a pencil.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan thin slightly SC-27 Sour Apple and brush the foreground of the plate. Thin SC-11 Blue Yonder and add it to the background, referring to the picture for color placement. Apply the following colors to the background of the plate, thinning all the colors with water -- SC-13 Grapel, SC-75 Orange-A-Peel, and SC-77 Glo- Worm.
  7. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, stroke in the multi-colored lines in the Zebras’ body.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 Coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale and SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the inner border of the plate, overlapping the colors where they meet.
  9. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, outline the Zebras and the picture with SC-15 Tuxedo.
  10. Use a dry Sponge to Sponge on SC-15 Tuxedo to a scroll foam stamp. Stamp over the EL-111 Ruby Creek border so it is filled.
  11. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
