Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the vase and roll around to completely coat the interior of the vase. Drain out the excess glaze and keep vase inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge also wipe back the inside neck of the vase. Allow to dry.
  3. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern.
  4. Outline the pattern with SA-002 Black Accent.
  5. Using a Script Liner, fill in the leaves and stem with CG-977 Ink Spots, take care to place the crystals evenly.
  6. Using a Script Liner, apply 2 heavy coats of the following colors to the areas of the flower starting from the outside edge, SC-87 Ruby Slippers, SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral and SC-16 Cotton Tail. The center is SC-11 Blue Yonder. Keep the colors off of the SA-002 Black Accent.
  7. Dot the SC-16 Cotton Tail section of the center with small dots of SA-002 Black Accent.
  8. Using a Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral to the inside the neck of the vase.
  9. Using a Soft Fan and a Script Liner, apply 2-3 coats of FN-009 Black to the remaining area (background) of the vase. Allow to dry,
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
