Wonder how this guy got his nickname? 

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Thin SS-063 Black Forest with water and brush on the entire gnome using an AB-834 #¾" Base Coat brush. Allow to dry.
3. Using a AB-708 #8 Round, dry brush the face with SS-127 Medium Portrait, the beard with SS-135 White, the hat with SS-399 Terra Cotta, the jacket with SS-19 Country Sage, and the pants and the shoes with SS-138 Flat Black.
4. Shake and stir MM-106 Steel Metallic well. Using a AB-902 #2 Stiff Fan, apply 1 coat of MM-106 Steel Metallic on the hat, pants, and shoes. While still wet spritz with MM-305 Rapid Rust. Wait until it begins to rust then apply a second coat of MM-106 Steel Metallic and re-spritz with MM-305 Rapid Rust.
5. In a small plastic cup, mix MM-106 Steel Metallic with MM-305 Rapid Rust. Brush a thin mix over the face, hands, beard and jacket. Spritz with more MM-305 Rapid Rust so it runs into the detail. Allow to dry 24 hours.
6. After the rusting process is over, you may want to re-dry brush some of the face, beard, and jacket color back over to bring back detail.
7. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner to paint the eyes, apply thinned SS-135 White to the eye area, with SS-234 Medium Mocha for the iris and SS-138 Flat Black pupils.
8. Using a AB-834 #¾" Base Coat, apply 2 coats of AC-502 Matte Sealer to each piece.
