Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the owl bottom and roll around to completely coat the interior of owl bottom.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep owl bottom inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Repeat for the top part of the owl. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 2-3 Coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the breast and onto the back. Allow to dry.
  4. Use l/2 inch masking tape to tape off sections of the breast and back for black stripes.
  5. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the open stripe of the breast and back, pull off the tape after the last coat looses its shine.
  6. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the larger eye area. little eyes with SC-51 Poo Bear.
  7. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2-3 coats of SC-51 Poo Bear to the smaller eye section and to the nose and feet.
  8. Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of CG-753 Sassy Orange with crystals to the head and wings. When dry, apply 2 coats of C-15 Tuxedo over the CG-753 Sassy Orange.
  9. Use SA-002 Black Accent to spiral the orange area of the eyes, as shown in the photo. Allow to dry.
  10. 10.  Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
