Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, base coat the inside of ware with 3 coats of SW-129 Copper Float. If doing a mug, base coat the entire piece.
- Once glaze is completely dry, sketch out a circle on the bottom of the bowl or plate. For example, the Salad Bowl would be approx. 4.5 inches in diameter.
- Within circle, draw triangle patterns.
- Condition a CB-110 #10/0 Liner by: dampen the brush in water and squeeze out any excess water. Load the brush with AC-525 Brush Cleaner then squeeze between a paper towel.
- Using the conditioned CB-110 #10/0 Liner brush, wax off the negative space between the triangles and about ½ inch wide band around the drawn circle.
- Once wax is dried, using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-109 Capri Blue over the triangle and around the inside rim. If doing a mug, apply 3 coats of SW-109 Capri Blue to the inside and outside rim.
- If desired, wipe off beaded glaze on the wax resist with a damp sponge or brush.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-101 Stoned Denim to the outside of the bowls and plates. Allow to dry.
- Using a damp sponge, wipe of the foot of each piece.
- Do not stilt and make sure the ware is not hanging over the edge of the kiln shelf.
- Fire to cone 5/6.
