Sodium Hydroxide is an alkali base material and can be an eye and skin hazard (irritant).
SECTION 3: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
The product is a light blue liquid. Exposure to fumes during firing may cause irritation. No other significant immediate health , physical or environmental hazards are associated with these materials. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin irritation.
Mists from spraying may cause eye, skin or respiratory irritation.
Route(s) of Entry: Inhalation, Ingestion, Eyes & Skin.
SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
- If inhaled: May cause irritation; remove from exposure
- If on skin: May cause irritation; wash skin with soap and water
- If in eyes: May cause irritation; flush eyes with large quantities of water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists after washing, contact a physician.
- If swallowed: Dilute by drinking large quantities of water. Immediately contact poison control center or a physician for additional treatment.

The product is water based and as such will not burn, unless if product is allowed to dry. Petroleum wax is flammable, and foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide and water spray may be used to extinguish fire.
