Mayco Creative Tools allows Art Educators to teach a variety of different techniques to help jump-start students' creativity with instant satisfaction and flawless details. Not only will the students experience a different learning experience, but our Creative Tools will meet some of the natural standards and help to improve fine motor skills.
Designer Stencils allow students to easily create patterns onto a surface or add texture into the clay. We suggest using a mini foam roller or sponge-on-a-stick to apply color over a stencil. You can also use Stencils with Sculpting Medium. Use a squeegee or plastic card to drag Sculpting Medium across a stencil, add a layer of color on top and remove the stencil to get a raised design. You can even roll a brayer over a stencil to create texture in clay.
Designer Silkscreens provide an easy to use method for adding intricate designs to students work and learn all about the printing process. Easy to apply, reusable and they can be applied to curved and rigid surfaces without compromising the design. Students can use Silkscreens alone, add color to them, use them as a background or layer them with other screens to create different looks. Talk about versatile!
Designer Stamps & Mats are made of flexible material which allows you to transfer the designs onto rounded surfaces, flat shapes or add texture into the clay. Apply color to Stamps and Mats with a mini foam roller or sponge-on-a-stick to get color in the design areas you like best and gently press onto your design surface. Add small variations of color from the stamp to the background for added interest and use mirror imagining techniques!
