To describe Jungle Gems and Crystalites glaze to a new group of students, explain that the glaze is simply powdered glass mixed with water. Like adding a kool-aid packet to water, the tiny glass particles visually dissolve, creating a milkshake consistency. The special thing about Jungle Gems is that not all the glass has been crushed into dust and mixed in. Some pieces of glass are chunky and heavy, settled in the bottom of the jar.
