Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-014 Antique White to both pieces. Allow to dry.
- Using a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon, trace on the vegetables where desired to the front of the plate and inside of the bowl.
- Complete the vegetables as follows:
- Radish: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale. Side load in SC-3 Wine About It and shade the edges.
- Peas: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of SC-27 Sour Apple. Side load in SC-26 Green Thumb, and create the pea shapes within the pod.
- Broccoli: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-26 Green Thumb to the stalks and top area. Side load in SC-36 Irish Luck and shade the edges on the stalks. Using a CB-308 # 8 Flat Shader, tip into the SC-36 Irish Luck and pounce over the SC-26 Green Thumb on the top area.
- Carrots: Using a CB-308 #8 Flat Shader, apply 2 coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel, painting from side to side like a "C" and letting the color meet in the center. Side load in SC-74 Hot Tamale and complete the same strokes.
- Mushrooms: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-86 Old Lace to the stem and cap. Side load in SC-5 Tiger Tail and shade the edges.
- Complete the leaves and stems as follows:
- Radish: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-27 Sour Apple. Side load in SC-36 Irish Luck, and shade the center vein and leaf edges.
- Peas: Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, load in SC-26 Green Thumb and SC-36 Irish Luck, and add 2 to 3 leaves to each pea pod.
- Carrots: Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-27 Sour Apple. Side load in SC-26 Green Thumb, and swirl over top of the SC-27 Sour Apple.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner loaded in SC-34 Down To Earth, add a center vein to the radish leaves and outline and detail all the other vegetables and leaves.
- Using a BT-910 Synthetic Sponge, sponge the edges of both pieces with SC-34 Down To Earth.
- Stilt the Casualware Charger Plate onto a level kiln shelf, then center the bowl or place towards the edge where desired.
- Fire to shelf cone 06.
