This creative tool produces highly detailed illustrations, patterns and graphics to enhance any surface. Our collection of themes were developed to lend an increased level of design that can’t be achieved in a stamp or stencil.
Mayco Designer Silkscreens pair perfectly with our highly pigmented color products such as Stroke & Coat®, Designer Liner and Underglazes, which make them ideal for use on clay, earthenware and stoneware bisque, and glass. For non-fired surfaces, Mayco’s Silkscreens work great with acrylics on canvas, fabric and other surfaces. Just remember to add AC-310 Silkscreen Medium to the right consistency for screening crisp, detailed illustrations.
Most of the other silkscreens available on the market are made using a photo emulsion process where the image is "burned" onto the screen when exposed to light. These screens have a shorter use life as the emulsion coating can be easily damaged after multiple uses. Mayco Designer Silkscreens are manufactured using a thermal process, creating a screen that will last much longer than traditional emulsion screens.
