Endless Stoneware Glaze Combinations

What will your next combination be? 

Offering a variety of finishes and textures, Mayco Stoneware glazes produce consistent, quality surfaces with excellent control of movement.

(The following numbers correlate with the numbered glazed combinations above.)

  1. Cinnabar over Dunes
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-107 Dunes were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-107 Dunes were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Dunes to dry, 2 coats of SW-119 Cinnabar were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  2. Polished Pebbles over Smoke
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-121 Smoke were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-121 Smoke were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Smoke to dry, 2 coats of SW-126 Polished Pebbles were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  3. Oyster over Yellow Opal
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-110 Oyster were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-254 Yellow Opal were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Yellow Opal to dry, 2 coats of SW-110 Oyster were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  4. Amber Topaz over Wrought Iron
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-204 Amber Topaz were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-111 Wrought Iron were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Wrought Iron to dry, 2 coats of SW-204 Amber Topaz were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  5. Green Opal over Green Tea
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-253 Green Opal were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-108 Green Tea were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Green Tea to dry, 2 coats of SW-253 Green Opal were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  6. Tiger’s Eye over Winter Green
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-112 Tiger’s Eye were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-135 Winter Green were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Winter Green to dry, 2 coats of SW-112 Tiger’s Eye were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  7. Emerald over Smoke
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-210 Emerald were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-121 Smoke were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Smoke to dry, 2 coats of SW-210 Emerald were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  8. White Opal over Black Walnut
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-250 White Opal were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-104 Black Walnut were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Black Walnut to dry, 2 coats of SW-250 White Opal were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  9. Storm Gray over Cordovan
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-137 Storm Gray were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-128 Cordovan was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Cordovan to dry, 2 coats of SW-137 Storm Gray were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  10. Sapphire over Honeycomb
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-123 Sapphire were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-117 Honeycomb were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Honeycomb to dry, 2 coats of SW-123 Sapphire were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  11. Winter Green over Mirror Black
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-135 Winter Green were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-132 Mirror Black was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Mirror Black to dry, 2 coats of SW-135 Winter Green were brushed and receded to outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  12. Midnight Rain over Alabaster
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-106 Alabaster were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-106 Alabaster were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Alabaster to dry, 2 coats of SW-115 Midnight rain were brushed and receded to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  13. Polished Pebbles over Winter Green
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-126 Polished Pebbles were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-135 Winter Green was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Winter Green to dry, 2 coats of SW-126 Polished Pebbles were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  14. Coral over Sea Salt
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-205 Coral were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-118 Sea Salt was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Sea Salt to dry, 2 coats of SW-205 Coral were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  15. Storm Gray over Sea Salt
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-137 Storm Gray were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-118 Sea Salt was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Sea Salt to dry, 2 coats of SW-137 Storm Gray were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  16. Sisal over Manganese Wash
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-103 Sisal were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-303 Manganese Wash was brushed to the top half outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Manganese Wash to dry, 3 coats of SW-103 Sisal were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  17. Olivine over Charcoal
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-127 Olivine were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    1 coat of SW-209 Charcoal was brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Charcoal to dry, 2 coats of SW-127 Olivine were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.

  18. Northern Woods over Dunes
    Process:
    3 coats of SW-120 Northern Woods were brushed to the entire inside of the tumbler.
    2 coats of SW-107 Dunes were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Allowing for the Dunes to dry, 2 coats of SW-120 Northern Woods were brushed to the entire outside of the tumbler.
    Cone 6 Oxidation, white stoneware body, fired vertically. Horizontal surfaces may yield less movement and interaction.
