The childhood classic "The Little Engine That Could" by Watty Piper comes alive again while painting this bank.

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Apply 3 coats of SC-31 The Blues to the body of the train engine, the grate, the gears, and pulleys that connect the wheels of the train. Your will also need to apply 3 coats of SC-31 The Blues to the center of the front wheel and the center circle on the front of the train above the grate. Leave the two raised lines that run on either side of the bell on the top of the front of the engine free of glaze. Also, when coating the train stack, stop when you reach the line in the bisque that is indented.
3. Apply 3 coats of SC-42 Butter Me Up to the bell, the windows, the outer edge of the wheels, the circle surrounding the blue circle on the front of the train and the outer lip of the train stack just above the indent where the blue ends.
4. Apply 3 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the indented portions on the front grate of the train, the indented center of the wheels, and the inside of the steam spout.
5. Using a script liner and Sc-15 Tuxedo write "I THINK I CAN" in the back window.
6. Draw the face on the front of the train stack and apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the areas designated black in the picture and 3 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the areas designated white in the picture.
7. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
