While the Mayco design team loves to decorate bisque with our vast Creative Tools offerings, they also enjoy doing things a little differently by using everyday items to decorate. Raffia, paper, eyelash yarn, liquid dish soap and shop towels are some of the things that really allow for creative glaze application.
We’ve used raffia to create flowers, water backgrounds, but the stripes on this Faceted Lion bring this home decor and crafting goodie to new heights.
You may have used a brush or watered down glaze to create a marbled effect, but our designers like to use blue shop towels to create the mottled design on this Faceted Owl and Marbled Faceted Fox.
Crocheted doilies and lace are reusable which makes them fantastic decorating tools for a studio. Layering glazes and a soft doily allows the creation of intricate designs. Our Doily and Lace Turtles get a makeover by adding super details to the shell.
Sometimes a bisque shape feels limiting in design options. However, when you think outside the realm of your usual decorating techniques, you open up a world of fun. We used a little liquid dish soap mixed with glaze to create our bubbled Faceted Giraffe.
