Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of EL-113 Spanish Moss to the Gourd except the stem. Do not wash your brush. This will let the colors mingle for a good blend of color.
- Pat on a coat of PC-601 Clear Cascade randomly on the gourd tapering toward the bottom of the piece. Allow some of the base glaze to show through.
- Pat on a coat of EL-207 Gold Mine randomly on the gourd tapering toward the bottom of the piece.
- With the same brush, pat on a coat of PC-602 White Cascade randomly on the gourd tapering toward the bottom of the piece.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of EL-111 Ruby Creek to the stem.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply some veins of SC-15 Tuxedo here and there with just the tip of the brush. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
